In order to guide you through the huge number of options that the City of Angels has to offer, we have chosen the ten most charming and luxurious restaurants in Los Angeles – where you can experience the best of the best!

Enjoying a meal in a magnificent restaurant can absolutely be a life-changing experience, and this city has so many such places. So believe us, it was really hard to pick only 10, but we somehow managed to single out the ten trendiest places.

Tao Asian Bistro

Tao restaurant is the new little Gem, a diamond in the rough (the rough being Hollywood, right?) It opened two months ago, and it’s nestled next to the new Dream Hotel that will probably open in July. The decor is out of this world; you’ll feel like you’re discovering a hidden Japanese temple in the middle of Hollywood. The experience is extraordinary, and the staff always there and at your service.

Catch, West Hollywood.

This elegant seafood restaurant offers everything you could hope for – from extraordinary food to an amazing atmosphere, to a spectacular view of downtown Los Angeles and the Hollywood Hills. It features a retractable rooftop which gives you the whole one-with-the-nature experience. It uses local and sustainable ingredients as much as possible, cultivating a menu mix of Catch classics with inspired renditions of Vegan and Gluten Free additions.

Delilah is the perfect place for all “Roaring Twenties” lovers, with an interior in the art deco style. Since the place is a restaurant/lounge bar concept after dinner guest can stay and enjoy a drink and live entertainment. You can get specialty cocktails crafted by the famous master mixologist, Matt Siegel. The menu is absolutely mouthwatering too: it offers a mixture of classic and modern American cuisines influenced by the era’s popular array of soulful food.

Nobu Malibu

If you want to experience the peacefulness of the ocean while enjoying your meal, Nobu Malibu is the place for you. It is known for its amazing service and exquisite cuisine, including Chef Nobu Matsuhisa’s signature dishes, such as Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeño, and Black Cod Miso, as well as Malibu favorites, such as Ribeye with Truffle Butter Sauce, Crispy Maui Onions, and other tasty dishes.

Beauty & Essex

This restaurant is something else. It combines a restaurant, lounge, and pawn shop area. “Not quite a club, but definitely more than your typical restaurant,” wrote La eater.   The restaurant has recently introduced outdoor seating with a ground floor courtyard and a patio on the second level. The double-height main dining room features a 20-foot oval skylight, while a private dining room offers a more intimate experience. If you enjoy multi-ethnic dishes, such as Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup Dumplings, you’ll absolutely love this place.

Doheny Room

If you choose to have a meal here, keep an eye out for celebrities, because many choose to hang out here! The interior is open and airy with a U-shaped balcony that overlooks the lower level of the restaurant. The interior has a sort of a European feel, while the exterior feels very art deco. As for the menu, the restaurant offers an upscale version of various street foods, such as Foie gras sliders, but it offers more standard options too. If you came for drinks, you can choose from a number of delicious cocktails.

Katana is another favorite stop for many Hollywood celebrities. Its award-winning interior design offers the most luxurious feel, and the guests have to abide by a strict upscale casual dress code. Katana has introduced the robatayaki style of Japanese comfort cuisine – it offers a grand sushi bar and special hot and cold dishes from the kitchen. Dine on the outside patio, and you will get to enjoy the beautiful view on Hollywood!

Il Pastaio

Il Pastaio is an Italian food place which has been attracting customers with its mouthwatering pasta since 1994. Gourmet Magazine calls this trattoria “a taste of heaven,” saying “the cooks in Il Pastaio’s kitchen have angel’s hands”. The staff is friendly, and the food is beautiful, so if you like pasta, this place will surely not be a disappointment.

This one is one of the more popular places in LA, so if you want to have a meal there, better get that reservation on time! You should check out Bestia if you like the idea of rustic Italian dining. The interior is all industrial glamor; there is a sort of an aggressive and raw feel to it, but it feels really innovative, just like the menu which is also taken to new extremes. So for example, instead of getting a beef tartare, you might try beef-heart tartare!

Craig’s is located in the former premises of Doug Arango, now redecorated with the elegant ebony-black door and booths of “Cadillac Tiffany blue”. This place offers a variety of upscale American comfort food, such as the Fried Chicken, Chicken Parmigiana, New York Steak, etc. At Craig’s, it’s all about the guests; if you want to take the leftovers home, the staff will more than happily pack it for you!
